Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is situated at the 27th Km Milestone on the Delhi - Hapur Bypass Road. It’s quite a way out from the main city, located in P.O. Adhyatmik Nagar. Because of the location, many of us spend a lot of time on the road just getting here. The campus is pretty large and has a lot of brick buildings. It looks quite sturdy from the outside. Inside, it’s a maze of hallways and labs. We have many different departments, and each one has its own little quirks. The workshops are often noisy with the sound of metal being cut or engines running. It’s a place where things are actually built and tested. We have a lot of students staying in the hostels, so the place never really sleeps. Even late at night, you can see lights on in some of the rooms. The grounds are kept okay, but the grass gets a bit dry in the winter months. We have a few shops on campus for basic things like pens and snacks. It’s a very self-contained spot. The atmosphere is generally serious because people here are really trying to get through their courses. We don’t go in for much decoration; it’s mostly just posters about technical stuff and exam schedules. It’s a bit out of the way, but it works for the people who come here. We just try to keep everything moving along smoothly.
