Mangarhkunda is the place we call home, and it’s where Sioham Agro Producer Company Limited is based. We are just a group of local farmers who decided that we’d be better off working together than on our own. It’s not like we have a big office building or anything; we mostly just meet up where we can. Farming out here in Mangarhkunda takes a lot of effort, and there are plenty of days when things don’t go according to plan. The weather can be your best friend or your worst enemy, and we’ve seen plenty of both. We don't use any fancy business terms or corporate language because that’s not who we are. We’re just folks who know how to handle a plow and a harvest. We talk about the crops, the pests, and the prices we’re getting at the market. It is a very practical kind of life. Sometimes we get lucky with the rains, and sometimes we have to scrape by. Being part of this producer company helps us share the burden a little bit. We’re not trying to be the biggest or the best, we’re just trying to keep our farms going. It’s a lot of dust and sweat, but we’re used to it by now. It’s just what we do, day in and day out.
