At Post Adarki Khurd, you will find us at House No. 93. That is where Nisnai Devi Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of. It is basically a local gathering of farmers from this village and the surrounding spots. We realized a while ago that trying to sell your harvest on your own is a real headache, so we put this company together to make things a bit smoother. It is not a big operation with a lobby or anything like that. It is just a house where we keep our books and meet to talk about the season. We grow all the usual stuff that fits the soil here in Adarki Khurd. Sometimes the rains are good and sometimes they are not, so we try to help each other out during the lean times. There is always a lot of talk about fertilizer prices or where to find a good tractor to rent. We are just regular people who have been working the land for years. The company is just a way for us to have a bit more say in how our produce is handled once it leaves the farm. It is a lot of talking and a lot of planning, and sometimes we don't agree on everything, but we are all in the same boat. We just want to keep our farms going and maybe make things a little easier for the next generation of farmers.
