We’ve been here in Mandi Gobindgarh for a good while now. Our place is tucked away on Amloh Road, right behind the old octroi post. If you know this area, you know it’s basically the heart of the steel world in Punjab. Most days it’s just us working through piles of metal and agro equipment. It gets pretty loud with the trucks moving in and out of Fatehgarh Sahib, but we’re used to it. The shop floor is always busy, and there’s usually a thin layer of dust on everything by noon. We aren't fancy people. We just show up, do the work with the machines, and make sure things get loaded onto the trailers properly. Sometimes the power goes out, so we sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s a lot of physical labor, keeping up with the steel orders and making sure the agro parts are solid. Being at the back side of the post means it’s a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice when you need to focus. We’ve got a small crew who have been here for years. They know exactly how the old machines sound when they’re running right. We don’t spend much time on the office stuff, mostly we're out where the actual production happens. It's just a regular day-to-day life here in the industrial patch of Mandi Gobindgarh.
