DAS Technologies

DAS Technologies is set up in Village Latour, which is part of the Sirhind Tehsil in the Fatehgarh Sahib district. It’s a bit different being out here in the village compared to the big cities. We’re surrounded by fields and it’s a lot quieter than you’d expect for a technology company. We started this because we wanted to work from our own area instead of moving away. Most of our work is done on computers, so as long as the internet is running, we’re good. It’s a humble setup in an old building that we fixed up a bit. Sometimes the cows walk past the window while we’re working on a new project. We deal with tech stuff that people might not expect to find in a small place like Latour. It’s a small group of us who grew up around here. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. It's just a room with some desks and a lot of wires. We try to help out the locals if they have tech issues, but mostly we work on bigger contracts. It’s a slow life outside the office, but inside we’re usually pretty busy. We like the balance. We don't need much to keep going, just our tools and a bit of focus. It’s a decent way to earn a living without the city stress. We just get on with it and stay here.
