Behind The Bar

Being located in NIT, Faridabad, means things are always moving fast around us. Behind The Bar is situated on the first and second floors, so you have to head up the stairs to find us. We’re right there in Nehru Ground, which is a pretty well-known spot in this area. Most of our day is spent getting the place ready before the evening rush starts. We move chairs around, check the stock, and make sure everything is set up. It’s not a polished, high-end corporate office; it’s more of a local hangout where things can get a bit loud. The views from the upper floors look out over the street, and you can see people going about their business in the market below. We’ve had to fix things here and there over the years, from leaky taps to squeaky floorboards, but that’s just how it goes with an older building. The staff here are mostly local guys who know the neighborhood well. We don’t really do big speeches or fancy presentations. We just open the doors and get to work. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, or the air conditioning takes a minute to kick in, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a straightforward operation here at 9a, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and keep the place running for anyone who stops by. It is just a regular job for us in Faridabad.
