The Green Play & Nursery School

Our little school is located at 77 and 78 Evk Selvam Garden, which is part of the Evk Sampath Salai area here in Erode. It is a quiet spot tucked away in Veerappanchatram. Being a nursery and play school, we deal with the very small children who are just starting out. The building is basically a converted house with some extra rooms added on over time to fit more kids. We have painted some bright colors on the walls to make it look a bit more cheerful for the toddlers. There are some toys scattered around the small play area, and we try to keep them organized, though that is quite hard with twenty three-year-olds running around all morning. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays relatively peaceful compared to the main city center. Parents usually drop their kids off on their way to work in the mornings. We have a small staff of ladies who look after the little ones and teach them their very first basics. It is not a huge institution, just a local place for the neighborhood families to use. The garden area outside has a few swings and a slide that have been used by many kids over the years. We spend a lot of time just making sure everyone is safe and learning their ABCs. It gets a bit chaotic during pick-up time in the afternoon when the narrow street gets full of scooters and cars. It is a simple setup.
