Our office is tucked away near the Jain Temple on Sreenivasan Mallan Road. It’s the C/O Subaida address in Kochi. Ernakulam is a fast place, and there is always something being built or fixed. We do engineering and construction, which basically means we spend a lot of time looking at drawings and then trying to make them work in real life. It’s harder than it looks on paper. You have to deal with the weather and getting the right laborers to show up. We have a small setup here in Kerala. It’s not some big corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s just a place where we work. We take on different types of engineering jobs. Some are small and some take months of staring at concrete. It’s satisfying to see a project finished, though the middle part is always a bit of a headache. We don't talk much about visions because we are too busy checking if the steel arrived. We've been in this part of Kochi for a while. Everyone knows the traffic around here is a nightmare, so we try to plan our site visits accordingly. It’s a simple operation. We just do the engineering work, handle the construction side of things, and try to keep our heads down and work. There are usually three or four of us in the office drinking tea and looking at site photos. It is not fancy, but it is real work.
