We are set up in Fort Kochi, specifically at Palliparambil in the North Thamaraparambu area. It’s a busy part of Ernakulam, and we like being right in the middle of it. Franc & Zave Builders And Developers Private Limited is the name on the papers, but to most people around here, we are just the local guys who handle building stuff. Working in Fort Kochi means dealing with narrow roads and a lot of tourists, which can make getting trucks in and out a real chore. We don't have a polished showroom. Most of our meetings happen on a dusty site or in our small office where the fan usually makes a clicking noise. We started this because we knew the area and we knew how to build. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just try to make sure the walls are straight and the roof doesn't leak. The salt air here is something you have to watch out for, as it eats through everything if you aren't careful. We’ve learned a lot over the years about what materials actually last in this humidity. It’s not a glamorous job. You spend a lot of time arguing with suppliers and checking on workers, but it feels good to see a house finally finished. Most of our work comes from neighbors telling other neighbors about us. We’re just local people trying to earn a living.
