Our place is located at 40/3442 on Market Road, which is right near the Blue Diamond Hotel. Being in the Ernakulam district, it’s always crowded and there’s never enough parking. Asiatec Metal Industries has been operating from this spot for quite a while now. We work with metal, so it’s often loud inside the workshop. The smell of cut iron and welding is something you just get used to after a week. We don’t have a big corporate sign or a fancy lobby. If you come to see us, you’ll walk right into the middle of where the work happens. There are scraps of metal on the floor and tools everywhere. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the phone over the machines, so we have to shout a bit. We don’t do any big advertisements. Word of mouth is how most people find us on Market Road. We’ve got a small team and we’ve all been together for years. We eat lunch together in the back when we have a moment. It’s a simple life. We just take the orders as they come and try to get them finished on time. If you’re looking for the hotel, you’ll definitely pass our door. We’re the ones with the sparks flying and the sound of hammers hitting steel. It’s just how we spend our days.
