Koyenco Steels

Koyenco Steels operates out of the Fact Township area in Udyogamandal. If you know the Eloor region in Ernakulam, you know it is a very industrial spot with lots of big plants and trucks moving around all day. Our place at A-29 is right in the middle of that action. It is a heavy environment where the smell of metal and machinery is always in the air. We handle a lot of steel here, so the yard is usually full of stacks of metal that need to be moved or loaded. The guys working here wear heavy boots and stay busy with the cranes and the inventory. It gets really hot during the summer months, and the humidity in Kerala doesn't make it any easier to move heavy stuff around. We don’t have fancy carpets or glass walls because they wouldn’t last a day in a place like this. Everything is made of concrete and metal. We have a small office area where the paperwork gets done, but most of the real activity happens out where the steel is stored. It is a noisy place, and you have to shout sometimes just to be heard over the sounds of the machinery. We have a steady rhythm to the work, starting early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It is hard work, but the people here are used to it and just get on with their jobs without much fuss.
