Saraswathi Metal Works

You can find us on Palluruthy Road, right where the local traffic always seems to be moving. At Saraswathi Metal Works, things are usually loud because of the machines running in the back. It is a messy job, metal work. There are shavings on the floor and the smell of cutting oil is everywhere, but that is just how a workshop is supposed to look. We spend most of our time at the benches or moving heavy pieces around. It's mostly small teams here, just regular people trying to finish the jobs we have for the week. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken part and we have to see if we can fix it or if it needs to be made from scratch. We don't have a big office or anything, just a desk in the corner with a lot of papers on it. The heat gets a bit much in the afternoons, especially when the welding is going on, but we keep the fans running. It is practical work. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations because the work speaks for itself anyway. People around here know where we are if they need something made of metal. We just open the shutters in the morning and get to it. It’s been that way for a long time and we don’t plan on changing much. Just a local shop doing its bit every day.
