Steel Plus

Our shop is at No. 39/424 on Carborundum Road. We are inside the Industrial Estate in Kalamassery, Ernakulam. It’s a very industrial area, lots of factories and warehouses all around. We deal with steel, as the name suggests. The warehouse is big and has that smell of cold metal. We have all sorts of sections and pieces stacked up. It’s a bit dark inside sometimes. We spend the day moving things around with the crane or by hand. It’s physical work. We wear boots and old clothes because it’s a dirty job. We’ve been in this area for a long time. The traffic around the estate can be a nightmare in the mornings. We usually start early to avoid the worst of it. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. If you need steel, you come to the estate and look for us. We have a small desk in the corner for paperwork. It’s mostly just us and the machines. We don't do much talking, mostly just getting the orders loaded. Sometimes we have a tea break and sit on the crates. It’s a simple life. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a steel supplier in an industrial zone. It’s what we know how to do. We’ve been doing it for years now. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet, but you get used to it.
