Udaya Steels

Udaya Steels is situated on New Colony Road in Palarivattom. We deal with steel products, so the shop is always full of heavy metal rods, pipes, and sheets. It’s a noisy place to work. There is always the sound of steel hitting steel or the drone of a truck engine outside. New Colony Road is usually busy, which is good for us. We’ve been here for quite some time now. We don't have a fancy office or a showroom. Most of our work happens right there on the shop floor or out in the yard. We wear heavy boots because you never know when something might drop. Our clothes are usually a bit dirty from the rust and the oil. We don't have a big sales team; it’s just us handling the orders as they come in. People from the neighborhood and local builders know where to find us. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting pieces to the right size. It’s hard, physical work that leaves us pretty tired by the end of the day. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to sell our steel and make sure the customers get what they paid for. Palarivattom is a good area, and we’re glad to be a part of it. It’s just an honest way to earn a living with our hands. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next day.
