Sakchi Farms Producer Company Limited is located right on the ground floor, Flat 1Award No. 6, in Hridyanagar. We are based at Satya Narayan Mehta’s place in Basantpur. It is a local operation through and through. We started this because we wanted a better way for farmers in our area to organize their work. It’s not some big corporate venture with a lot of money. We are just people from the neighborhood who know about farming. The office in Hridyanagar is where we keep our papers and meet to talk about the season. Basantpur is a place where most people are connected to the land in one way or another. We don't have any flashy signs or big advertisements. Most people find us through word of mouth. We deal with the day-to-day problems that come with farming, like getting the right supplies or finding a place for the harvest. It is a bit messy sometimes, but that is how real work looks. We try to be practical about everything. If a farmer has a problem, they just come by the ground floor flat and we talk it out. There isn't any red tape or complicated stuff. We are just here to handle the farm produce and help the local community get their goods moved. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy all year.
