We are located over in Khariyasai, right at Pawan Kumar Gupta's place. Potka Farms is basically a group of us who live nearby and work the land every single day. It started because things were getting a bit messy trying to sell stuff on our own, so we figured sticking together made more sense. Most mornings start pretty early before the sun is even fully up. We deal with the usual farm problems like rain coming at the wrong time or bugs eating the crops. It isn't anything fancy and we don't have some big glass office or anything like that. We just sit around and talk about what needs to be planted next or how to get the tractor fixed without spending too much money. Pawan helps keep the records straight which is a big help because most of us would rather be out in the dirt than looking at papers. Some days are harder than others especially when the market prices drop and we have to figure out how to cover our costs. We've lived in this village our whole lives and we know every inch of these fields. There’s no big secret to what we do here. It’s just hard work and hoping for a good harvest at the end of the season. If you come by, you'll probably see us just wearing our regular clothes and covered in a bit of dust. That's just how life goes for us.
