Chakulia Farmers Producer Company Limited is situated in Bhalukbindha, which is part of the East Singbhum district. We are set up at Khagendra Nath Mahto’s place. It’s not far from the Chakulia police station, so it’s easy enough to find if you’re looking for us. We started this because the farmers around here needed a way to organize things better. The office is just a simple building. Inside, you’ll find some old wooden chairs and a lot of registers. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology, mostly just pens and paper and the occasional phone call. Khagendra is usually the one who knows where everything is kept. The area around Bhalukbindha is quiet for the most part, except for when the tractors go by. We spend our mornings checking the quality of what’s being brought in. There’s always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a loose door handle or a stack of papers that fell over. We don't have a big sign with lights on it. Most people find us by asking around or because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s a group effort, and everyone puts in their bit. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the farmers get what they need. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how real business is.
