Van Rap Tours & Travels

We are located right at Police Bazaar Point, on the main road. It’s probably the busiest spot in all of Shillong, which keeps us on our toes. You can’t really miss the area since everyone ends up here eventually. Van Rap Tours & Travels has been operating out of this location for some time. It’s a small office, and sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but we like being in the thick of things. We handle a lot of different travel requests. Some people want to go to Sohra, others are heading towards the border. We just sit down and figure out the logistics. It’s practical work. We have a few drivers we work with regularly. We don't spend money on big signs or fancy furniture. The chairs are comfortable enough for a quick chat. We know the local traffic patterns well, which helps when planning departures. Sometimes the rain makes things slow, but that’s just life in the hills. We don't try to be anything we're not. We're just a local travel shop helping people get from one place to another. Most of our days are spent checking on vehicles and making sure the timings are right. It’s a lot of coordination, but we’re used to it. If you’re walking through the main market, you’ll likely pass right by us. We’ve got a small desk near the window where we watch the rain and wait for the next call.
