Jais Travels

You can find Jais Travels inside Raps Mansion on Mahatma Gandhi Road. We are very close to Kacheri Point in Shillong. It’s a good location because everyone knows where the Kacheri is. MG Road is usually busy with people heading to the government offices or the courts. We have been based in this building for quite some time. Raps Mansion is an older place, but it works for us. Our office is just a regular room where we sit and handle travel arrangements. It’s not fancy or corporate at all. We are just a few people trying to run a local business. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when there’s a lot of traffic at the point, but that’s part of being in Shillong. We like being in this part of town because it feels central. You don't see us doing much marketing because word of mouth usually does the trick. We just open up every morning and wait for our regulars or anyone passing by. It’s a very straightforward operation. If you are near Kacheri Point, just look for Raps Mansion on MG Road and you will see our sign. We are there most of the day, just doing the usual work. No big mission, just helping people get their travel sorted out. The rain often hits the windows hard, but we stay dry inside.
