You can find us in the basement of the Hotel Silk Route. It’s on Keating Road, pretty close to Ladykeane College. Being in the basement means it stays cool, even when the sun is out over Police Bazar. We’ve been operating from this spot for a bit. It’s a handy location since it’s near the main area but tucked away just enough from the loudest streets. We mostly help people with cars and figuring out where they want to go around Shillong. The hotel above us is a good landmark if you're getting lost. It’s a small office, nothing too special to look at, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking schedules. Sometimes the internet acts up, but that’s just how it is here. We like the neighborhood. There are always students walking by from the college and plenty of places to grab a quick snack nearby. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the local routes and the drivers. If you need a ride or some help with a trip, we’re usually around. We don't use much fancy equipment. Just a computer and some notebooks to keep track of everything. It’s a straightforward way to work. We try to be helpful when people walk in with questions about the roads or the weather. It’s just what we do every day. It gets busy, but we manage. It’s a living for us and we enjoy the work.
