S & S Industries

You can find us over on Old Post Office Street in Injarm, which is a quiet enough corner of the East Godavari district. S & S Industries isn't a massive operation, but we stay busy enough with the local demand. The building we work out of at 6-82 has been around for quite a while, and it shows its age in some places, like the chipped paint on the gate. We spend our mornings setting up the equipment and checking what came in the day before. Because we are in a more rural area, we have to be pretty self-sufficient when things go wrong. If a light goes out or a fuse blows, we usually just fix it ourselves rather than waiting for someone to come from the city. The pace is steady, and we don't really have the same kind of pressure you find in the big industrial zones. We know our neighbors and we see the same faces every day, which makes the work feel a bit more personal. There aren't any fancy meetings or PowerPoint presentations here. We just talk over coffee in the morning about what needs to be done and then we go out and do it. It is honest, simple work that keeps us connected to the community around us in this part of the district.
