Sri Satya Narayana Nursery

Sri Satya Narayana Nursery is located right along the NH-5 road in Kadiyapulanka. If you’re driving through Kadiyam Mandalam in Rajamundry, you can’t miss all the green. We spend most of our time outside in the dirt. It’s hot work, especially in the middle of the day, but being around the plants is better than being stuck in an office. The ground is always a bit muddy because of the watering, so we all wear old boots. Our hands are usually stained from the soil. We have a small shed where we keep our tools and a few chairs for when we need a break. It’s not a fancy setup at all. We grow things, and that takes time and a lot of waiting. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we lose a few things, which is frustrating, but that’s just how it is with a nursery. We have stacks of plastic pots everywhere and bags of fertilizer piled up near the back. People stop by on their way down the highway to see what we have. We don't have a computer system for our inventory; we just know what’s where by looking at the rows. It’s a simple life, mostly just watering, weeding, and moving heavy bags around. We’re usually tired by the end of the day, but it’s a good kind of tired that comes from being outside under the sun.
