Our place is in the ABC Complex, specifically unit B-5 over in the Veer Savarkar Block of Shakarpur. Vikas Marg is right there, so the noise of the traffic is pretty much constant from morning until night. It is a busy part of Delhi, and our little corner reflects that energy. We deal with various types of equipment, and the space is mostly filled with crates and boxes that we have to move around to find anything. It is a bit cramped, but we make it work for the daily tasks. The building itself is an older one, so it has its quirks, like the occasional leaky pipe or the flickering lights in the hallway. We have been here long enough that we know all the other shop owners in the complex. It’s a community of people just trying to earn a living. We don’t have a fancy showroom; if someone wants to see something, we just pull it out of the box right there on the floor. Most of our time is spent on the phone or writing out invoices by hand at the small desk near the door. It can get quite hot in the summer, and the small fan we have doesn't do much, but we keep going regardless. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on things we don't need, focusing instead on keeping the inventory moving and the accounts straight. That’s just how things are done here in Shakarpur.
