Dvr Publication Pvt Ltd is based at A-27 on the third floor in Madhu Vihar, Patparganj. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’ve got our little corner of the building well established. Since we are in the publication business, our space is usually overflowing with stacks of paper, proofs, and books. There’s always the smell of ink and old paper in the air, which we’ve grown to like. We aren't some big media house with a hundred employees. It’s just a few of us working on the layouts, checking the text for errors, and talking to the printers down the road. Madhu Vihar is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there’s always somewhere to grab a quick bite during lunch. Our desks are usually covered in red pens and sticky notes. We spend a lot of time arguing over font sizes or where a picture should go. It’s quiet work for the most part, punctuated by the sound of the printer or someone’s phone ringing. We don’t put on any acts here; we just focus on getting the next issue or book ready for the press. It’s a lot of staring at screens and double-checking facts, but it’s what we know how to do. The neighborhood is friendly, and we’ve been here long enough to feel like part of the furniture. We've seen a lot of businesses come and go in Street No 2, but we just keep doing our thing.
