S. J. Crafts

Our spot is R-245A, tucked into Gali No. 11 in Ramesh Park. Laxmi Nagar is a crowded place, and this lane is no different. You’ll see S. J. Crafts on the door, but it’s a humble setup inside. We have been operating from this little corner for a good while. The stairs are narrow, and we are always hauling boxes up and down. It keeps us active, if nothing else. The room is usually filled with the sound of someone cutting or assembling something. We don't have much of a reception area, just a desk near the entrance where the bills and logs stay. There is a lot of history in these walls, even if it’s just the history of us working late into the evening. The local tea stall guy knows our order by heart because we’re out there every afternoon for a break. It's not the kind of place you’d find in a glossy magazine. It’s a practical workshop where things get built and packed. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait it out, chatting on the doorstep. It’s part of the rhythm of living and working in Laxmi Nagar. We know our neighbors, and they know the noise of our shop. It’s a simple life, focused on getting the crafts finished and ready for whoever needs them next.
