We are located at number 48 in Pratap Nagar, right across from the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir. It is a good spot because the temple brings a lot of peace to the area, though it gets crowded on Tuesdays and weekends. Most people know us for the loose flowers we keep for the morning prayers. We spend a lot of time sitting on our stools, threading garlands or just cleaning up the workspace. The floor is usually wet from the buckets, and there is always a bit of a mess from the trimmings. We don’t try to be a high-end boutique or anything like that. We are just a local shop in Mayur Vihar trying to provide what the neighbors need. Sometimes we get exotic flowers, but mostly it is the regulars like marigolds, roses, and tuberoses that people want. We have seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the demand for fresh flowers stays pretty much the same. It is nice to talk to the people who stop by; you hear all sorts of stories about their families and what is going on in their lives. We just keep our heads down and do the work, making sure the flowers stay as fresh as possible until they are sold. It is a straightforward business, no frills, just lots of flowers and daily chores to keep the shop running smoothly for everyone who comes to visit the temple or lives nearby in the colony.
