Easel Art Gallery

Up on the first floor at 133 A in Sai Dulajap Westend Mg, life moves at a different pace than the street below in Preet Vihar. Easel Art Gallery is a bit of a quiet escape from the honking cars and the busy sidewalk outside. We spend a lot of our time moving frames around or trying to get the lighting just right on a new piece that just arrived. It’s not a huge space, but we make the most of the walls we have. Sometimes the floors get a bit scuffed from moving the heavy display stands, and there’s always a bit of bubble wrap tucked in a corner somewhere from the last shipment. We get people who wander in just to look around and escape the sun for a bit, and that’s fine with us. It’s nice to have a job where you get to look at interesting colors and shapes all day instead of just staring at a computer screen. Occasionally, we have to deal with a leaky ceiling or a squeaky door hinge that refuses to stay quiet, but it’s a charming enough spot. Preet Vihar is a good neighborhood, and being on the Westend Mg side means we see a lot of the local regulars. We don't really do the big fancy openings with champagne, we just put the art up and let people see it whenever they feel like stopping by.
