Anand Galleries

Anand Galleries is tucked away in Acharya Niketan, which is part of Mayur Vihar Phase I. Specifically, we’re at B-8. If you know Mayur Vihar, you know how crowded Acharya Niketan can get on any given afternoon. It’s a narrow street with lots of small businesses and stalls. Our place is basically a room filled with things we’ve collected and are currently working on. We spend most of our time inside, away from the constant noise of the main road. The walls are covered with stuff, and there’s usually something being moved from one corner to another. It’s not a polished gallery like the ones you see in central Delhi. It’s more of a workspace where we keep our things. We often have tea from the stall nearby while we sort through new arrivals. The lighting is okay during the day, but we have to use extra lamps when it gets dark early. Most people stumble upon us while looking for something else in the market. We don't really do much to draw attention to the shop. We just like having our space here at B-8. The area has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed in this one spot. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we get a lot of items at once. But we manage to find a place for everything eventually. It’s just how we do things at Anand Galleries. No big fuss, just a local business in a busy residential hub where we feel at home.
