If you are looking for us, we are at 102, S-524 on Vikas Marg. It’s a pretty central spot, and the building is always full of people going up and down the stairs. Midas Commodities is a small operation, mostly just a few of us handling the buying and selling of different goods. Vikas Marg is one of those roads that never seems to sleep, so there is a constant hum of engines outside our window. Our office is simple, with just enough room for our desks and some filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls. We just come in, check the market prices, and start making calls. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea and talking about the news, but other days it’s non-stop work until the sun goes down. We deal with various commodities, mostly bulk stuff that moves through the big markets. It can be a bit stressful when prices are jumping around, but we’ve been doing this long enough to not get too worked up about it. Most of our furniture is stuff we’ve had since we started. We don’t see the point in buying new things if the old ones still work. It’s a practical way to run a business. We know our neighbors in the building and sometimes we help each other out with small things. It’s just a normal office in a busy part of Delhi. That’s life here.
