Mata Foundation

We are located at 29/201 in the East End Apartments. That’s in Mayur Vihar Phase-I Extension. It is a bit different because we are in a residential complex rather than a big office building. We turned part of the apartment into our work area for the Mata Foundation. There are books and files on almost every surface. It feels more like a home than a business, which we actually prefer. It keeps the atmosphere a bit more relaxed. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the daily operations. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood outside, like the kids playing in the park or people talking in the hallways. It’s a nice change of pace from the busy commercial areas. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working on the computer. We don't have a boardroom for meetings, so we just sit around the main table and talk things through. It’s a very informal setup. We’ve been at this address for quite a few years now. The neighbors are used to us being here and they are quite friendly. We don't really do much in terms of promotion. We just do the work we need to do from this small corner of Mayur Vihar. It’s a quiet, steady way of operating. We just try to stay focused on the tasks at hand without making a big fuss about it, just getting things done.
