Arora Cabs

We are based in Building No 222 in Parmanand Colony. It’s over in the Dhaka Kingsway Camp area, not too far from the Lakshmi Nagar Metro Station. Arora Cabs is mostly just us keeping track of drivers and making sure the cars are where they need to be. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking the clock. The office isn't much to look at, just a desk and some maps on the wall, and maybe a few spare keys hanging up. We started this because we knew the roads well and figured we could make a go of it. Some days are slow, especially when it rains and everyone wants a ride at the same time, while other days we’re just waiting for the phone to ring. We know the shortcut to the metro and the best way to get through the colony traffic when it gets backed up. Our drivers are local guys who live around here, so they know the area just as well as we do. It’s a straightforward business. We keep the cars running and try to make sure nobody is left waiting too long on a street corner. There’s no big marketing team here, just a couple of us sitting in the office in Parmanand Colony. If you walk past, you’ll probably see one of us outside washing a car or talking to a driver about a route. It’s just everyday work for us and we've gotten used to the pace.
