Laxmi Nagar is a very crowded part of Delhi, and our office is right in the middle of it at S-513. We are quite close to the TVS showroom and the metro station car market, so there’s always a lot of movement and noise outside. Finding a parking spot near here is a real challenge, so most of us just take the metro to work. The office itself is quite small. We’ve got a few desks pushed against the walls to make space. We spend most of our time dealing with holiday bookings, mostly for people who live in the local neighborhood. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and typing out emails to hotels or airlines. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit there waiting for the backup to kick in so we can finish a booking. We have a small water cooler in the corner that everyone uses. The walls are a bit plain, with just a calendar or two hanging up to keep track of the dates. We don’t really do fancy presentations. Usually, we just show people the options on the computer monitor and talk through the costs. It gets a bit loud when the car market is in full swing, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We usually bring our own lunch from home and eat at the desks while looking at the news. It’s a simple way to run things, just focused on getting the tickets done.
