National Model Matricaulation Hr. Sec. School

The National Model Matricaulation Hr. Sec. School is located at No 9 on the 3rd Main Road in Municipal Colony. It’s part of the Maharaja Nagar area in Tirunelveli. It’s a decent neighborhood, mostly residential, so it stays fairly calm compared to the main city center. The school building is pretty standard for this area. We have been working here for quite some time now, and we’ve seen the streets change as more houses went up. Every morning the kids arrive, some walking from nearby houses and others coming in on cycles. We don't have fancy lobbies or anything like that. It’s just a place for learning. The staff room is usually a bit cluttered with papers and tea cups, which is how we like it. We know the names of most of the parents because they’ve lived in this colony for years. Our focus is really just on the day-to-day teaching. We don't put out big glossy brochures. If people want to know about us, they usually just walk in and ask. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon, so it gets a bit warm, but we have enough fans going to keep the classrooms comfortable. It’s a simple life here, just making sure the students are where they need to be and that they're actually opening their books once in a while.
