Vishal Steel & Metal Company is situated at No. 25, right near the Focal Point on G.T. Road. Being on the Sirhind side of Mandi Gobindgarh means we are right in the middle of all the steel action. This town lives and breathes iron. Our place isn't anything impressive to look at, just a big shed with lots of metal stacked up and some old scales for weighing the loads. We deal with various types of steel and metal scraps or parts that factories around here need. The traffic on G.T. Road is always heavy, so the air is full of diesel smoke and the sound of horns. We spend our days talking to drivers and checking the weights of the loads coming in. It’s a tough business because the prices of metal change every single day and you have to keep track of it all on scraps of paper. Sometimes the workers don't show up and I have to help move the smaller pieces myself. We’ve been at this location for a good while now. It’s not a clean job, your hands are always black by lunch, but it’s how things work in Mandi Gobindgarh. We don't have a big marketing team, just a phone that rings too much and a gate that stays open for whoever needs metal. It’s loud and it’s dirty, but we get the job done for our customers.
