Smt Machines (India) Limited

We are situated out on G.T. Road in District Fatehgarh Sahib. Our place is located near the Focal Point, which is where a lot of the industry and factories in this area are concentrated. We use P.O.Box No.71 for our mail, but the actual physical work happens right here in the shop on the main road. Smt Machines is all about the hardware and the gear. It’s a big, noisy environment because we are dealing with heavy machinery and metal parts most of the time. The G.T. Road is always loud with passing trucks and buses, so you quickly get used to the constant hum of the traffic outside. Our building is a simple structure that has seen plenty of hard work over the years. Inside, there are lathes, drills, and all sorts of machine tools bolted to the floor. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice shirt or clean shoes. We are usually covered in a bit of oil or grease by the time midday rolls around. We’ve been part of the Fatehgarh Sahib industrial scene for a long time. There is a lot of history in this district, and we are just one of the many shops making things along the highway. We don't have a big corporate team; we just have the guys on the floor and a couple of people in the office. It’s a plain, hardworking atmosphere for us every day of the week.
