Kuber Steels

Mandi Gobindgarh is the place to be if you are into steel, and everyone in the trade knows it. Our shop, Kuber Steels, is at number 89 in the Motia Khan area. It is a busy market where everyone is talking about prices and weights all the time. The air always smells a bit like iron and coal dust. We spend most of our time standing around the shop floor or sitting on a couple of old chairs near the front. The trucks are constantly rolling through the mandi, kicking up dust and making a lot of noise. It is not a place for anyone who likes things perfectly clean and quiet. We have got stacks of steel that need to be moved and sorted every single day. Most of our customers are regulars who have been buying from us for many years. We don't bother with fancy brochures or anything like that. If someone wants to know what we have, they just walk in and look at the stacks themselves. It is a lot of manual work, and we get tired, but that is just the nature of the steel business in Motia Khan. We keep the shop open until late in the evening sometimes when a delivery is expected. It is a simple life, focused on the metal and the daily market. We take our tea breaks when we can. (244 words)
