M S Bhushan Steel Ltd

Our place is M S Bhushan Steel Ltd and we are located right in the middle of things at Talcher Thermal in Angul. We are at Sector-4, specifically at Quarter Number G/79. Being so close to the thermal power station means there is always a bit of grit and ash in the air, but you get used to it after a few days. We deal with steel here. It’s heavy work and the yard is always full of stacks of metal that need to be moved or sorted. The office is just a regular residential quarter converted to handle our business needs. It’s not a corporate skyscraper. We have a few tables, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of ledgers from over the years. In Orissa, the summers get really hot, so the afternoon hours can be slow, but we make up for it in the mornings. People in the sector know us as the steel guys. We don't spend money on big signs or advertisements. Most people just find us by asking around or because they have worked with us before. Everything runs in a simple way around here. We focus on the loads, the transport, and making sure the counts are right. It’s hard work, but it keeps the lights on and the town moving along. It is just the way we work, dealing with the metal and the heat.
