Bhushan Steel Limited

We are located in the Angul district, specifically over in Girang near the Nalconagar area. If you know where Hotel Swagat is, then you’ve probably seen Bhushan Steel Limited nearby. It’s a busy part of Orissa because of all the industrial activity going on around here. Our place is right there in the middle of it. The air usually smells a bit like metal and earth. We spend most of our time managing the steel coming in and going out. It’s not a fancy setup by any means. We have some old desks, a fridge that makes a weird humming noise, and a lot of logbooks. The local guys from Kulad work here, and we’ve become a bit like a small community. We talk about the local news and the weather while we work. When it’s monsoon season, the ground turns into thick mud, and moving the steel becomes a real challenge for everyone. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been at this spot for years. We handle orders for different projects, big and small. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up a shipment, but that’s just part of the trade. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it’s loud and messy most of the time. We just keep our heads down and focus on the steel.
