Bhushan Steel & Strips Ltd.

Our main operations are out in Meramandali, which is located in the Dhenkenal district of Orissa. It’s a large area and we are right there on the ground at Bhushan Steel & Strips Ltd. The setting is very much focused on the industrial side of things, and you can feel the energy of the work as soon as you arrive. We don't have a complicated address because everyone in this part of Dhenkenal knows where the steel works are. The day usually starts early because of the heat in Orissa, and we try to get as much done as possible before it gets too hot in the afternoon. We handle the production and the sorting of the steel strips right here. It is a big responsibility, but we have a lot of experienced people who know the machines and the materials inside out. The work is tough and sometimes the days are long, but there is a good sense of community among the staff. We aren't interested in sounding like a big polished company. We are just a bunch of people working in Meramandali, trying to keep the steel moving and the quality where it needs to be. It’s a dusty, noisy environment, but it’s where we belong and we take a certain pride in just getting the job done without any fuss or fancy words.
