Strands Lounge

Our lounge is in Unit No 314 and 315 on the third floor of Ozone Plaza. This is right in the Bank More area of Dhanbad, postcode 826001. Being in a plaza means there are always other shops and offices around us, so the building is never really quiet. We are up on the third floor, so most people take the lift, though some use the stairs if they want the exercise. The units are fairly spacious once you get inside. We have arranged the chairs and mirrors in a way that gives everyone a bit of room. Strands Lounge isn't a huge name with dozens of branches, it is just this place here in Dhanbad. We spend a lot of time cleaning the mirrors because the dust from the city settles on everything quite fast. The lighting inside is bright enough to see what we are doing with the hair cutting and styling. Sometimes the power goes out in the plaza, but that is just part of living here. We have some magazines on a table for people who are waiting, but they are usually a bit old and crumpled. It’s a very straightforward setup. We don't have any decorative waterfalls or music playing loudly. Most of our day is just spent talking to the regulars who come from Bank More or nearby. It is a decent place to work and we keep things simple for everyone who visits.
