Pratima Beauty Parlour

Pratima Beauty Parlour is located at number 10 on the Main Road in Soritand, Bhuli. We are right in Dhanbad, near the Hari Temple. It’s a very local spot. You can hear the temple bells sometimes in the morning when we are opening up the shop. Being on the Main Road means there’s always dust and noise, but it also means people always know where we are. The parlour is just a small room we’ve set up for beauty work. It’s mostly for the ladies who live in the Bhuli area. I started this place because there weren't many options around here for a simple threading or hair wash. We have a few basic machines and lots of bottles of stuff on the shelves. It’s not very modern, but it’s clean and it works for us. I usually have a helper with me. We spend our time talking to the aunties and the girls who come in. Everyone knows everyone else's business in a place like this. It’s more like a social gathering sometimes. We don’t have fancy brochures or anything. People just know us by word of mouth. The light comes in through the front door, and we keep a curtain up for privacy. It’s a humble place, but we take pride in doing a good job every day. When the sun goes down, we lock up and head home like everyone else.
