Rakesh Saloon

Rakesh Saloon is located on the ground floor along Park Market Road in Dhanbad. You can find us pretty easily since we are right near the SBI ATM, which always has people standing around it. The shop has been here for some time now, and it’s become a bit of a fixture for the men in this part of town. I usually get the shop opened up early in the morning before the market gets too loud. It’s a straightforward place with basic chairs and large mirrors that cover most of one wall. We do haircuts and shaves, and maybe a head massage if someone has had a long day at work. Dhanbad is a busy place with all the mining and trade, so people are often in a hurry. We try to work efficiently so they can get back to what they were doing. The shop isn't decorated with anything special, just the tools of the trade and maybe a calendar on the wall. When the afternoon sun hits the street, it can get quite warm inside, but we have the fans going. It’s a place where you can hear the street noise outside, but inside, it’s just the sound of scissors and the occasional conversation about local politics or cricket. We take pride in just being a regular shop where a man can get a clean cut without any fuss.
