Orient Public School

We have been here in Dhanbad for quite a while now, located right near the Barmasia Football Ground. It is a busy spot, especially on the weekends when there is a game going on and people are shouting from the sidelines. The school is basically just a place where local kids come to get their lessons. We do not have fancy gates or massive marble statues, just the usual brick building and classrooms. Most of us living around this part of town know each other anyway. The mornings are always a bit loud with all the cycles, rickshaws, and parents dropping kids off at the gate. It is just how it is. We try to keep things moving. Inside, it is mostly the sound of kids reading out loud or the scrape of chairs. Sometimes you can hear the whistle from the football field next door during the lunch break. We handle things as they come. If a desk breaks, we find someone to fix it. If the rain is too heavy, we deal with the puddles in the yard. People around Barmasia know where we are because of the landmark. We do not really do big ads or flyers. Mostly, it is just the kids from the immediate neighborhood. We teach them the usual subjects like math and science. It is a job, but we like seeing the kids grow up. Some of them start here tiny and leave much taller than the teachers. We have seen Dhanbad change, but we just stay here doing our part.
