D E Nobili School is located right within the C M R I area in Dhanbad. If you live around here, you know exactly what the mining town vibe is like. It’s a very specific part of the city with its own rhythm. The school is very much a part of that landscape. We have been at this location for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age in some spots, but that’s just how things are. The dust from the surrounding areas sometimes finds its way into the classrooms, so there is always someone sweeping or cleaning up after the wind blows. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals posted on every single wall. Instead, we just have teachers who show up early and stay late to get their grading done. The walk to the school takes you past some of the old quarters, and you can usually see the kids walking in groups from the nearby colonies. It’s a busy place during the day with plenty of noise coming from the playground and the echoing hallways. We handle the usual school problems, like broken desks or lost textbooks, without making much of a drama out of it. The main gate is usually a hub of activity at the start and end of the day. It’s just a normal school where people work hard and the kids learn their lessons. We don't try to be anything we aren't.
