Holy Child School

You can find Holy Child School right in Purana Bazar, near the Allahabad Bank in Gomoh. It's a busy part of Dhanbad, 828401. Since we are in the market area, there is always some noise from the street, but once the gates are closed, it gets a bit quieter inside. The school has been around for many years. Many of the parents who bring their kids here used to be students here themselves. It's a bit of a tradition in Gomoh. The building is old but we try to keep it in good shape. We have classrooms for all the younger kids. It gets very crowded in the mornings because of the bank nearby and all the shops opening up. We don’t have a lot of extra space, but we make use of every corner we have. The teachers are mostly local women from the Purana Bazar area. We don't use any fancy management techniques. We just follow the schedule and make sure the children are learning their lessons. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or water issues, like any other building in Dhanbad. We just get through it. Holy Child School is a simple place. We aren't trying to be the most modern school in the world, we just want to be a reliable place for the local families. We focus on the kids being safe and getting their schoolwork done before they go home in the afternoon. It’s a plain and simple way of running a school.
