Even though the company name mentions Delhi, I am actually working out of Gwalior these days. My office is located at C/57 New Saket Nagar, which is right on Tansen Road. It is at Chetan Dutt Pateriya’s place. I have been doing architecture work for a long time now. Moving between different cities has given me a bit of a different perspective on how people build their houses. In Gwalior, things move a bit slower than in Delhi, which I sometimes appreciate. I spend my days looking at various sites and drawing up plans for clients. It is mostly residential work, helping families figure out how to use their plots of land efficiently. The office is just a simple room with a drawing board and a computer. I do not have a big staff, so I end up doing most of the work myself. This means I am usually the one answering the phone and the one going to the municipal office to handle the permits. It is a lot of running around, to be honest. Tansen Road is a well-known area, so people find the office easily enough without directions. I try to keep my designs straightforward and easy to build. There is no use in making something too complicated that the local workers cannot understand. I have seen many buildings go up in New Saket Nagar over the years.
