Ultratech Cement

We are located in Village Phalodi, which is near S. Nagar in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. Being out in a village like this means our workday is tied to the local surroundings. It is very different from being in a big city office. At Ultratech Cement, we see a lot of tractors and local transport passing by the gates. The air is a bit clearer here, but the roads can get very muddy when it rains. We have a small building that serves as our main point of contact. There aren't many signs or big advertisements around. Most people find us because they know where the village is. We spend our time checking on the stock and speaking with the local builders from Bijnor. It’s a lot of face-to-face talk over a cup of chai. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to keep the orders recorded. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know the local news. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, so we keep some lanterns and a backup ready. It’s a quiet life, mostly focused on the daily needs of the village and the nearby towns. We just stay here and do the work that needs doing without much noise. It’s practical and straightforward, just like the people who live in this part of Uttar Pradesh.
