Tomar Traders

Tomar Traders is based right here in Baraut. It’s a typical local business where we spend most of our time dealing with whatever needs to be traded or sold that week. Baraut is a place where everyone kind of knows what everyone else is doing, so we try to keep things straightforward. Our shop isn't tucked away; it’s right where people can find us when they need supplies or want to move some stock. We don’t spend money on big ads or fancy displays because the people who use us already know where we are. Usually, the mornings are the busiest when the deliveries come in. We spend a lot of time lifting things and moving piles around to make space. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the day. There are days when it’s slow and we just sit outside on the stools and watch the traffic go by on the main road. We’ve seen the town change quite a bit over the years, but our way of doing business has stayed pretty much the same. We take orders, we fulfill them, and we make sure the ledger is correct at the end of the month. It’s a plain way of living but it works for us and the community here in Baraut.
