Our family business is located at Plot No-3418 in Gali Bajran Bali. If you know Chawri Bazar, you know how tight the lanes can be. It is one of those old parts of the city where everything feels like it’s been there forever. Sukh Ram & Sons has been operating out of this small plot for a long time. The street is always full of rickshaws and people carrying heavy loads of paper or metal. It can be quite overwhelming if you aren't used to it. Our space is tucked away in the alley, and we have to be very careful with how we stack our stock because there isn't much room to move around. We don't do things the modern way. Most of our records are in big brown books, and we still use the same heavy keys for the shutters. It’s a noisy place to work, with all the shouting and the sounds of the market, but it’s our home. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but Gali Bajran Bali stays pretty much the same. It is a bit of a maze to find us, but once you’re here, the tea is usually hot. We don’t have a marketing team or a fancy logo. We just have our reputation and the work we do every day. It’s hard work, and the summer heat in Chawri Bazar is no joke, but we keep at it regardless.
