Even though the name says Delhi, you will find us at 25 Keshav Road near Luxman Chowk in Dehradun. We moved things up here to the hills and the atmosphere is quite different. The weather in Uttaranchal is much better for sitting and drawing than the heat of the plains. Our office is on a road that gets a lot of local traffic, so there is always something to see out the window. It is a comfortable enough space, though we probably have too many files piled up on the floor. We spend our days working on designs that have to handle the slope of the land, which is a bit trickier than working in Delhi. Sometimes we miss the speed of the city, but then we look at the mountains and realize this is a better place to be. We have a small team and we usually eat lunch together while talking about the projects we have going on. The walls are a bit bare because we never got around to hanging many pictures. Most of our time is spent on the phone with contractors or out at sites checking on the progress of a house. It is a steady kind of work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the buildings we work on are sturdy and fit into the neighborhood. People stop by for a chat and we usually have a pot of tea ready.
